A Coaching Inn built in 1640 where King Charles II stopped for refreshment whilst having his horse re-shod at the attached Smithy's. Full of original 17th Century features including one or two Ghosts! The lounge has a 20ft deep fresh water well whilst the bar has all the charm of it's low ceilings and black beams. All rooms are En-Suite and wi-fi is available throughout. Rooms 1 and 2 (both Twin Rooms) date back to 1640 and have sloping floors, uneven walls and beamed ceilings. We have our own large car park and disabled access to the ground floors only.Our Restaurant offers the superb Exmoor Beef Steaks plus our own Chef's Specials from Tuesday to Saturday, 6pm - 9pm.We are within walking distance of Bromsgrove Town Centre and virtually opposite Bromsgrove School.The pub holds a KaraokeDisco every Thursday in the front bar from 9pm - 1am.
